The site where today stands the modern structure of our restaurant is loaded with important memories. Oswald von Wolkenstein (1377-1445), the illustrious poet and composer of the German middle ages, was born in the Castle of Schöneck, just a few meters away. While in the depths of the restaurant, we can suppose the existence of the "Pacherhof" that was the birth place of Val Pusteria painer and sculptor, Michael Pacher (1435-1498).
The history of the restaurant is closely intertwined with the name of the Baumgartner family. The restaurant was founded in 1986 and as it drew the attention of a broader and broader market, the owners renovated and expanded the structure in 2001, making it what it is today: one of the most dependable benchmarks for South Tyrolean and international "gourmandise".
